Sounds like it's one of 3 possibilities:
1. Scrotal varices-enlargement of veins in the scrotal sac (similar to varicose veins) Non-emergent, can possible affecty fertility, mostly occurs on left side.
2. Testicular torsion -DEFINITLY EMERGENCY situation-attention needs to be given within a few hours to save the blood supply to the testicle....If any doubt , go to an ER if you had a sudden onset of pain.
3.Epidydimitis- semi-urgent- most common infection in the scrotal sac...can feel like an enlarged vessel...antibiotics do wonders.

Wow, you must be in pain. WebMD has a lot to say about this. It can be constituted as a medical emergency. It can cut of the blood supply down there. My guess is if it is one vein in the many that are connected to your Spermatic cord, they will be able to surgically correct it.

it means you need to go get it fixed ASAP because circulation from your testicle is compromised. this is referred to sometimes as testicular torsion, and the blood that pools up in the testicle can cause not only pain, but infertility and alot of other problems. you need to go to the ER immediately and have it scanned so that they can fix it because you dont want to have problems with your testicles and fertility.
