There isn't enough evidence for you to sue the doctor. There was just too much of a time gap to have enough evidence to win the case. There are many factors that could have caused your appendix to be removed and they might not relate to the doctor's exam last January. It may be that AFTER the doctor appointment in January, your case worsened and the doctor had NO knowledge of it. So it's not really the doctor's fault and there is not enough evidence to sue.
(P.S. You have the same first name as I do - Julia. It's the second time I heard someone with the same name as me!)

Doctors are only human. Appendicitis can mimic so many other problems and it is hard to properly diagnose sometimes. I find it hard to believe a stomach pain could be confused with a pain that should have radiated from your side. Odds are you would have had that appendix removed anyway and thus still in the same situation. I don't think suing your doctor because of a problem you would have had either way is going to solve anything but make everyone Else's insurance rise. Now I would see a lawyer just in case. Just in case there was some sort of negligence on his part, but I am sure you will have a hard time accomplishing anything. I am so sorry about your financial situation and hope you get it taken care of.

Obviously your appendix wasn't critical the first time. You probably don't have a case to sue the Dr. Things like this happen. You say you went on with your life which leads me to believe that the pains went away at some point.
This country far too "sue" happy. Get over it. You got sick and missed work. It happens to all of us.
You might check with your work and see if you are covered under a temporary disability insurance. Lots of companies carry this and few employees know about it.

Appendicitis is a very difficult diagnosis to make. It can have atypical symptoms. It is often not easy to spot. In other words some cases do not present the classic symptoms. c.a.t. scans have improved matters, these days. But it will be a difficult evidentiary problem to make out in a court of law. You can run it by a tort lawyer (for medical malpractice possibilities.). You should get a half to a full hour free, from that lawyer.
The treatment sounds really weird to me.
Good luck.

no longer sue, call or write the candy producer to enable them to comprehend to procure expired candy from a save. I even have had this ensue and easily called the enterprise who made the candy. They have been greater desirable than satisfied to interchange it with a yet another bag of candy. in case you do sue a company they'll in basic terms bypass the cost onto the buyer; you and that i.

appendix pain does not last that long. usually it takes 2 days to for an appendix to burst from the time it starts hurting. not 6 months, lol. it doesnt just go and come back. you may have had something else.

In order to sue the doctor, you have to proove malpractice. I don't think you have enough evidence of malpractice to sue. Have your current doctor look over your charts to see if you do have a case though. The best thing to do no matter what happens is to call your creditors and explain to them your situation. Also don't promise to pay your bills as soon as you can. You should tell them that you are not in a position to pay. If you promise to pay, statutes for debt collection resets.

Suing someone shouldn't be the first option. And, you need to check on the particulars of appendicitis, but I'm pretty sure that won't hang around dormant for six or seven months. When I had it, it was a pretty quickly progressing thing.
Just move on with your life. Get well and be happy.
