The Greek alphabet had no "C." Gamma is the "G" sound.

No, their alphabet was different from ours so it can't be compared in the same way. Gamma is more of a g and looks like T with the left side of the top bar gone.

Our letter C is represented in both Kappa and Sigma (K and S)
But every region has it's own take on the language, tons of different dialects.

G is Gamma, not C.
