Maybe it's because the public supports the wrong ones in general and always has? The problem is that only 1% of the actors and music artists make 99% of the money (without any guilt I might add). So don't assume all of them have the same mental disorders. Time to start listening to good and serious and beautiful stuff and watching good movies instead of the crap that rules.

Some are and some are not. Many are quite Philanthropic. Sandra Bullock is one example. She has contributed several million to various charities and natural disasters in the last few years. Mariah Carey donates a HUGE amount of money each year to the ***** Scholars fund.

Hollywood is a family thing.
Everyone is related through an uncle.
Seriously, very few made it because they were great at what they did.
With that being said, yes they are waaaay to greedy.
But so are most human beings when they are given an opportunity to be.

Artists and singers work very hard for their money and they are constantly chased by papparazzis, so it's very annoying and the person doesn't have a moment of privacy. Then security and all that cost money... They also give a lot to charities and endorse causes like cancer, leukemia, A.I.D.S., etc...

i think some are very greedy. as are some sports figures.
ie; those who make unrealistic demands and forget just who pays to keep them on the screen.
nobody needs that much money and my hat always goes off to those who share the wealth.

they are. i always felt that if i was rich i would help out the poor and donate to charities.
look at Paris Hilton or Jessica Simpson. they spent over 20 thousands of dollars in just one shopping trip. now you know that stuff will be worn once then put away into storage.

Yes. I would say they err on the side of greed and gluttony.
Perhaps they feel they earn it but I would rather see teachers, police officers and others who actually serve society be the ones to reap the wealth.

People do what they know best and if they get rich doing it than more power to them. At least their generations after will have a good life if it was meant to be.

It's the people who are willing to pay the price of tickets to see these people who make it possible for them to earn that much money. Vote with your pocketbook if you don't like it.
