I have deleated every file associated to this bit still it stays

Yes, it happened to me just yesterday(I hated that toobar)!!! I tried Microsoft's free windows defender and it took care of it.

hi, mirar toolbar is a virus with IE browser. and it can hack your IE browser. i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

Yeah um...well, you could download Yahoo Toolbar and click the anti-spy button.

yeah thats a spyware uninstalll it. if that doesn't work download add & remove program uninstall it using this - then after run scan for spywares & viruses - which is already included in that program. choose your options to clean your pc.
