web browser like Internet Explorer but better. Recently it is getting the same attach as IE so I switched to Opera which is fast and more secure. But it is better than IE and has more functions than Opera. I would recommend either Opera or Firefox than IE for sure.

Easy answer: Firefox is a browser similar to Internet Explorer. It is considered to be more secure than Internet Explorer but lacks Active X controls (which is required by some websites). It does however add IE integration (via a plugin) to allow you to use both browsers at any given time without losing the security that FF provides.

Its a Web Browser. Somewhat faster than IE, and a bit less likely to be hacked.
Some pages may not be viewable properly (they are meant to be viewed by IE)
You can not access Windows Update or some other MS sites (same reason as above)

It is a web Browser. Similar to Internet Explorer but faster, safer and more stabile.
It is also freeware.
I strongly recomend to use firefox instead of Internet Explorer.

Mozilla Firefox is just another browser. They also offer Thunderbird email service...I prefer Outlook Express though.

It is a web browser used on your computers.
You must use it if you like it. Or you have other options obviously.
Many advantages- Tabbed browsing. many free plug-ins available.
Lots of customization and network configuration features.
Disadvantages: Since it has lots of customization, if not done properly, it would be slower than other browsers.

There r no disadvantages! it's the fastest internet connection, and it blocks pop ups really good, and it protects u from viruses better thann internet explorer! GET IT!!!
