"Hey Spoiled/Sere! I am consumed, right now, in providing cogent, cognizant and relevant answers ... and a few questions on this site. When you see the quotation mark at the end of this sentence I will be off on something else."

This is a great question. I find myself having something consume my thoughts at least once per day. Since I am studying for a masters degree in Psychology and Special Needs, I do not find that too unusual. It is very easy to get totally into subjects that I love, and topics that I can research and discuss for hours on end. It does amaze me, sometimes; that I find myself so totally caught up in one premise or topic that I can run it over and over in my mind for days at a time; even if it is a topic I have studied previously in the past. It is interesting that I can see so many more sides to just about any topic now than I could even a few years ago. I would think that the easiest way to describe it would be the old adage of " with age comes wisdom." I have found myself more willing to think ideas and topics through on a wider, and more flexible level. I would say that this is a positive part of the aging process. Isn't everyone on here somewhat consumed by "certain" topics. Some of the questions I see on here, that I and others, take to be immature or silly many actually be the only way some people have of getting another persons non-objective or non-judgemental response. I am lucky as I have friends and family to discuss various topics with; and generally do not have to ask a lot of questions on here. It would be easy to let some things on this forum consume a lot of thoughts, especially when I read questions which are really inappropriate from young people who should not be asking these types of questions of total strangers. When I find myself getting aggravated, I have to step back and realize it is not something I have control over. Have a good night.

There reason I have come to this site and taken time to challenge myself by trying to think up good answers is that I am in need of getting my mind off a big situation which continues to consume my thoughts.

By coming on here, looking for a mental challenge, reading a few answers, etc. I am able to escape what consumes my thoughts. It just seems wise to make the effort to do that. I have found it helps - and gives me the chance to think and/or laugh and break the cycle of thought-stewing.

Well, since you can't seem to get the damn duck hunting question entered, I'll bring it up. That was the first time. Duck season, one year ago. Beautiful thoughts of the nympho I love. I couldn't for the life of me get them out of my head. I must say, I missed more than a few of the little feathered bastards that weekend. And look how far we've come since then.......
The last time.....Jesus, how about right now? Goddamn, you've even got me looking for pictures of douches as I write this. What the hell is wrong with me?
And guess what? Duck season is just around the corner.....and I promise you.....I'll be even more consumed this year than last.

I was fourteen and had a crush on this boy. It was the most intense feeling I've ever had. It was the only thing that I've ever been consumed by in my life. Puppy love is what they called it.

This afternoon while on the phone. I damn near burnt the tea! If I hadn't have had the timer set, another pan wouldv'e been ruined. It wasn't really the tea, but the concept is the same!
