melatonin is naturally in your body. it helps regulate your circadian rhythm (your body clock). you can get it over the counter at any drug store or walmart. it comes in 1mg and 3mg. try the 3mg-one tablet 30 min before bed. be sure to go to bed at the same time every night. this will probably take a few nights to kick in, but it should help!

Well, you seem to keep my daughter's hours, so if nothing else you could always come hang out with my two year old and I can sleep! ;)
Seriously, try restricting caffeine. If you want to be in bed by say ten PM every night then don't drink anything with caffeine after 3PM.
Also, and I know you've heard it before but I promise you it is true and it will help - get on an exercise program. Even if it's just walking 20 minutes a day around the neighborhood - get moving!
Fix a bedtime and stick to it, and get up every day at the same time. Don't give in to sleeping in or staying up. It may help to turn the clock so that you cannot see the numbers, and set it across the room where you have to get out of bed to turn it off.
I hope that you're sleeping soon.

Excitable people have problems with regular sleeping patterns and sleeping pills are not the remedy. You should start by taking a nap in the afternoon and when excitable types phone you, just tell them you are having a nap. Discipline first.

it takes 2 weeks to make a habit
so even if your not tired
lie in your bed with the lights out and think about the hum of the quiet
though i listen to the hum of the computer, which is rather inviting
