1. The bible is not only for those with formal training of any sort. That would defeat the purpose of protestantism. Now if you're a catholic I understand... 2. The bible is interpreted for us by people with formal training and laymen alike. Invariably, it's total bull. 3. If 6 days is nonsense, there is no reason to say 6 days if you can say 6 billion years. Face it, they just didn't know anything about these timeframes back when they wrote it. The catch is that if 6 days is wrong, maybe it's all wrong? 4. You say you're a anti-atheist, but what you really are is anti-rationalist. You're attacking rational analysis here, not atheism.
