It seems like most women are all about shoes and make-up. I mean, at least guys have hobbies and goals at the center of their lives. Women on the other hand, no matter how much they care about other things, the very center of their existance is always themselves, and more specifically, "how do I look?" How shallow...

I think materialistic women who cannot afford their desired lifestyle look for men who are well off financially... While most materialistic men buy their own stuff and some get 'trophy wives'. The thing about materialistic men is there are more and more young men dating older women who provide them with a lifestyle they would never be able to afford on their own. Right now they are small in numbers but I suspect the numbers will go up over time.

Yes, every single one you would potentially be with. I can prove it. I got honors at the best high school and could have made at least 70-80k a year as a paramedic in my city with less effort than my high school grades and never even held hands with a girl and am talented in so many ways. It's a 2 year course that costs $4000 and you need 70s. They tried to cover it up and because they know I'm waiting for certain things to come together, they watch me from a distance, knowing the truth and trying to blame me for everything after treating me like trash for 12 years of my life.
I can tell you beyond a reasonable doubt I'm 100% sure. They're all wrong, even the trucker girls think they are better no matter how intelligent, talented, or personality wise. It's like asking, "Why did people have slaves until just 100 years ago when we've been on this planet for millions of years?" What do you expect people to say. They care about money more than an individual because it's easier for them like that.

depends how you define materialistic. Some woman are selfish and want to buy expensive things for herself. For example: she'll end up purchasing 200.00 shoes for herself or a purse that's worth around 500.00. And then you have women who are not so much big spenders but will want top security. For example: she'll only date doctors or lawyers or someone that has a great job that makes 6 figures only.. In other words, if your an average plumber or electrician making so so; most likely she will not want to be with you. Her top priority is money then relationships 2nd.
But not all woman are like that, but nowadays, you'll find more and more.

Well, I'm not like that, but I think a lot of women are very focused on their looks, like you said. There's a lot of pressure for women to look a acertain way. And to a lot of women, shopping is a hobby. A lot of men and women just have different intrests. I don't quite understand it all either because I can't stand shopping or having a different pair of shoes for every outfit, but that's juts the difference between men and women I guess.

This isn't a politically correct question, so it doesn't warrant a politically correct answer... here goes!
In my opinion, women rely a lot more on looks than man do when it comes to attracting a mate. That's why shoes and hair and all that crap is so important to them.
For guys it's different. I've known plenty of ugly slobs who attract fantastic women on the basis of personality or special abilities alone. In other words, they don't have to worry as much about how they look.

I'd say you need to start hanging out with a different group of women. Only women who feel they NEED to look hot any sexy to get a man and have men confirm that by only wanting to date hot looking girls, are shallow, materialistic and self centered. I think if you set your sights on women who give back to society, through their religious organization, charities and non profit organizations by actually giving their time (not just writing a check) you will find the kind of woman you want.

I don't think so. but if they are in your neck of the woods and your media....We are taught to be dainty here in the USA.Feminine as some would call it. Some people take that to the extreme. Plus, it's available. Make-up,shoes, purses, perfume in all colors of the rainbow etc.
Sorry, you're trapped in a world like that, guess we'll just have to put up with it until we find a way of combating it.

I agree. Many women are all about the shoes, and the hair, and makeup. However, there are alot of women that aren't like that. You just have to know where to find them. Also, alot of the time the materialistic women are the ones who get the men, so that's why they keep this bullshit up.

Hey Mateo....I wish I had more time to answer this question....but I am too busy out digging up water caps, and spray painting Fire Hydrants.....pulling weeds from in between the roads and sidewalks, and then I have to mow about six vacant lots, not to mention the trash that others leave throughout the neighborhood, HOWEVER.....Being 5'3'', 105 pounds, well proportioned for my height, and look awesome in a pair of bobby socks and construction boots.....(hang on)....my make-up is running from all the sweat....OK, where was I?
