The survivor ratings strategy of pitting the races against eachother is nothing more than a cheap gimic and sensationalism to get more of you to watch thus increasing the shows ratings and of course to further divide America just as we are stupid enough to be divided by red/blue in politics...meanwhile while you are all basking in the rascism of the new season of survivor god only knows what the government will get away with while your all not looking. I can just see how many "news" stories there will be about the survivor racist season eating up the airtime uselessly instead of reporting on real news. Divide and Conquer. Too bad those survivor fans are not smart enough to see through it and too bad none of them are smart enough to know that though some races are predisposed to be successful at survival in the climates they evolved those physical traits in the survivor show itself has absolutely nothing to do with subsistance methods or resources and more to do with politics and popularity.

Examples....hot dry climates where Africans evolved pigmentation in the skin and are usually taller so that the body has more skin surface and can cool down faster....Himalayans and various other ethnic groups that have been isolated and living on mountain ranges tend to be short and stocky and have large rib cages as a result of selection for climbing the mountains and breathing the mountain air...there are other examples of how physical ethnic differences evolved over time as a result of selection but I'm sure that neither the producers of survivor nor its viewers will be smart enough to figure this out since they are all concerned about the buzz of who is going to win...whites or blacks...hispanics or asians ect ect ect..

If the show wanted to be fair or at least somehow scientific they could possibly alternate locations and climates from one extreme to the next. But, as there is nothing scientific about survivor the season will have nothing to do with Anthropology or scientific data since the contestants will not be hunters/gatherers, horticulturists, nomadic herdsmen, fishermen or any sort of group of people familiar with any subsistance method that doesnt involve the ATM machine and the grocery store. As the location will probably be the typical beach scenario of previous episodes one might speculate that perhaps Pacific Islanders or Asians might by physically predisposed for success but that would assume that they knew how to exploit the resources their bodies evolved to exploit in the first place. It's not like they are going to abduct a tribe of the Yanomo from the rain forests of Brazil or a bunch of Innuit from Alaska and force them to be on survivor so the whole race thing and who will win is obviously nothing more than racism and supremacy designed to insight people to watch it and pit us against one another and who knows if the season finale wont even spark a riot or two.

I was going to say the human race too. I think the black race will win but it is just a wild guess.

After the first couple of weeks, will race realy become a factor?

Will people see this as a snapshot of America?

The human race! Seriously, it is hard to tell without seeing the first episode. It will be interesting.

without knowing the race, you can not say who will win or loose-because survivor skills do not depend on race, they depend on wits and skill.
