Short Cuts, directed by Robert Altman, is a fantastic example of this kind of film. I highly recommend it! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108122/

Rashomon by Akira Kurosawa
By the way I loved the movie The Red Violin. It is a great story intermingled with small stories, and the end is chilling and surprising.

As with "Pitbull Lover" - Memento. I Loved Crash, and I loved Memento. Not so much small stories, but loads ot twists...
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch is also good. Not as intense though

Memento, it is a great movie with relatively the same type of pattern as Crash, but is a lot more intense. You really have to pay attention, but it is so worth it!
