102,400kbps; 100 x 1024. 100 mbps is the theoretical maximum most ethernet cards can handle. You won't obtain this speed and you can't order any typical household line over 6mbps anyway. if your into streaming video in your house, this may be important.

Slower than DSL, Dial up modem is 56KBPS so It would be 12x tines as fast as dialup. Fax is at 14.4
