Given the fact that most Indians (from India) are the same color as blacks and sometimes even darker than most blacks, why are they so racist towards black people?

I don't know if all indians are racist towards blacks. But i've had 2 indian teachers before. One of them was nice..and the other way acted really suspicious of us. Like we had something against her..like she expected us to act up.

Good Q. I've noticed it too. They come to America and fall into the same prejudices they see whites perpetuating, although there are some nice ones.

They do it to themselves though also. Indians famously prefer lighter skinned Indian women over the "dusky" ones. I read somewhere about an Indian model who was the first "dusky" supermodel in that country. For one, she wasn't that dark, and two, it wasn't that long ago!

However, part of what you might be calling racism is less prejudice against US and is more clannishness (for lack of a better word) towards their own. Notice how they stick together so much?

It seems like everyone is racists against blacks, I do not get it. In general mostly everyone is racists against each other.

The reason why people are racists against blacks is because there fear black people because of all the negative images they show on television. Black people killing, stealing, raping etc.

The thing is alot of other races do the same but the focus is mostly on black people and the bad thing is there are great, intelligent black people out there and they are not being acknowledged because of what one are two stupid black people do...
