you could try opening your pores with really hot steam/ water. then clean them with soap (i use and recommend cetaphil. $10 at drugstores but so worth the money) then when they're all clean, use cold water to close your pores again. this makes your pores look smaller too!
and you can also get rid of blackheads by using elmers glue. spread some elmers glue on the blackheads. wait for it to dry. when the glue is dry, peel it off. the blackheads come out too!
hope this helps and good luck! :)

Go get a facial - they will deep clean your pores. You really can't eliminate your pores -just make them smaller. The person giving you a facial will give you tips on how to make them smaller. I suggest using the Neutrogena Pore Refining Mask once a week. Blackheads are a toughie - but once again they will be removed if you get a facial - WITHOUT any scarring. If you try it yourself you can risk scabbing AND scarring. That way you can start with a blank canvas and maintain it. Maybe the products you are using have some kind of oils in them.
Give philosophy a try. Go to your local Macys or Nordstroms and ask for a sample of Purity made simple (it is a cleanser) I use it and my skin has never glowed so well and it provides exactly what it says: Makeup Optional Skin. I'm not trying to push a product on you for sales - I just love how my skin looks - and I believe everyone should give it a try! However skincare is very personal - and it does take about 30 days for your skin to get accustomed to the regime. Good luck sweetie I wish you the best of luck.

why do u wash twice a day? You should see an esthetician and get a deep cleansing treatment "European Facial" we have this Machine called the ultrasound it actually lift aways dirt and debri "blackheads" from your skin you should call you local esty and see if they offer an Ultrasonic treatment i dont really no anything over the counter that will help. O yeah your pores will never get smaller but they can get clean.

I find that my skin looks better if I don't use to harsh a soap ( I use nox on my face lately) and I try not to shower with water that is to hot. I try to keep it cool. Also keep exfoliating but be gentle.
I think bigger pores are quite natural below the eyes and on the nose. They won't be so noticeable if your skin is not red from over washing. A book I have on skin care warns against over bathing.

i wish i knew... but what i would say is wash your face more than two times. steam your face as in take a bowl of steaming hot water, put a towel over your head so that no steam escapes.. and place your face over the steam. This opens u the pores so dirt can be easily washed out. Also, this one you really don't have to do! Rub ice over the area where your (acne) continuosly... it's like washing your face over and over again!!! Wierd... I know.

My sister had this problem. Go to your doctor or dermatologist and get an appointment for micro dermabrasion - or in other words a chemical peel. It really isn't that expensive and it completely cleared my sisters face, it is AMAZING! At first I thought that she was crazy for doing it and that it would be expensive but it really wasn't and I think that it was her only hope, and it WORKED! Basically, it peels and burns away the top layer of skin making way for new, healthy skin. Totally worth it, look into it! - Good Luck!
