according to the actual ebay website, it says you need to contact them to remove the card. "Removing a payment method from your account

Just sign in and click on "My Ebay". One the left side about mid-ways down, you'll see 'My account'. Under that, click on "Personal Information". Go down to Financial information and you should see your credit card info. At the very right, you'll see 'Edit' (beside the credit card information). You can change it there. I would also email customer service and let them know that your credit card has been lost. Hope you get it worked out!

I'm pretty sure you can go to your PERSONAL INFORMATION in MY EBAY and change the credit card number. But contact them via Customer Service anyway just for their opinion

contact your CC bank and request a new one.
When you have that, just log into eBay and update your Personal Details.
