I really wish terrorists would blow themselves up and not take innocent people with them. It really needs to stop. They are disrupting the way the world is supposed to work and they are making people very nervous and very belligerent. They don't seem to care that their actions only lead to more war and more death. I hope they all burn in Hell one year for every innocent life they cut short.

why do terrorists kill women and children? I don't know. When Bush kept dropping all those bombs on Baghdad neighborhoods saying he was looking for Saddam, he was mrudering kids eating with their parents. I couldn't understand this terrorism. When Bush ordered innocent people to be rounded up and tortured at Abu Graihb, I could not understand this kind of terrorism. From your last sentence, maybe you do?

And the answer to your question is implicit in your postscript to it--because extremists and sociopaths (whether they are terrorists or the occupants of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue) do not value individual human life. And the deaths of innocents makes a bigger splash than the death of combatants. This principle is true whether said innocents are in the World Trade Center, live in Kabul, or are residents of Southern Lebanon.

Read some History about Viet Nam. One lesson we learned there was that "terrorists" are all cowards. They will not stand and fight, that is fact. No terrorist would face the average American in a fare fight let alone our Marines. A terrorist does his dirty work behind our backs, just like in Nam. We as a nation of people should be smart enough to have learned from that war which cost the USA 58,000 of Americas best. In the end of Nam it was our churches and our young people that stopped that "misguided" wrong direction war.
Since Bush is now drafting 35,000, I have faith in our young people, they do vote.

That's why it's called terrorism. War is always ugly. I was against this whole thing from the very beginning. I think we are responsible for opening a can of worms for many many years.

because they feel they have more of a threat on the government. the more people they kill or hurt whether they are innocent or or not creates more of a message. perhaps like a warning.
