1973 quarter with air bubble,it's on both sides so that could only happen when it was made,my husband has been saving it since he was 16,he is now 39.

Ask him if he got the coin out of circulation ,
If he did it was probably done outside the mint by Heating it .
Sorry ,Take it to a coin dealer first .
If the dealer wants to buy it then it is a mint error .
I really can`t tell you without seeing the coin.

Just because it has the bubbles on both sides, doesn't mean it was done at the mint.In fact having both dies screw up at the same time is far from common. Sounds like someone heated it up.An expert on error coins is Ken Potter email him at ken@koinpro.com. You will need to send him a scan of the coin in question.

yes it is depends on who wants it.i would not sell it untill i had it checked by a pro. coin dealer.
