Cheap is a relative term. If you are looking for a new handheld, I would go with either the Palm Tungsten T/X (retails for $299) or the Palm LifeDrive (retails for $399). Here is more info on those units:

If you are ok with an older model that is no longer available at retailers, I would highly recommend the Palm Tungsten C. It was originally released in 2003, and discontinued in 2005. It is a small handheld, business-powerful, with built-in keyboard, WiFi for Internet access at HotSpots, gorgeous screen, and even voice-recorder (with a special handheld). You can also use it as an mp3 player and even watch DVDs on it (with special software and an SD card).

You can for a new or used Tungsten C on eBay. A new unit sells for about $220, while a used one in great condition sells for about $180. Here is one that may be of interest to you on eBay:

If you decided to buy used, make sure that unit is scratch free, as the one I included is.
