I was crushed too. He was hot, but you can always look at Gabe Kapler or now Javy Lopez (hes not good for much else). The way i see it, once you don the pin stripes, you've made a pact with the devil. Johnny is a traitor and abandoned the best fans in the world. GREEDY, He will never again feel the love that Boston fans had for him. See how the Yankees fans treat A Rod only a year after he won MVP? They a fickle and once Johnny runs out of steam, he and his extra few million $s will be sorry then. I hope. For the record, he was MUCH more hot with the hair and beard. Looked like Jesus, Acts like Judas and throws like Mary.

Sorry To Tell U But Damon Staying Right Where He's At And That's With The Yankees. So It's Time For You Red Sox's Fans To Get Over The Fact That You Lost Him To The Team That You Hate So Much. Sorry About The Lost. Not Really. I'm A Yankees Fan. Thanks For The Five Games We Got Off You In Boston. I'm Loving It. Go Yankees.

Sorry...he's signed up with us now. The Red Sox brass decided he didn't have 4 good years left in him so decided not to match the Yankees offer. I don't think anyone calling him a trader would leave $12 mil on the table either. Instead of the fans pointing the finger at Johnny calling him Judas, they should direct all of the disgust at the Boston front office. They betrayed the fans, not Damon. Speaking of the front office, the young Coco Crisp isn't looking all that good in the front part of his contract.

I feel for the fans of Boston. Yankees fans have been on that side of a bad deal too and not happy with the front office. I guess it's just part of the game.

He signed a 4 year contract for $52 million with the Yankees. When that contract is over, Johnny will be 37 years old. He is injury prone and his value is largely based on his speed. His value to either team at that point will be highly diminished. While anything is possible, Boston and Damon probably burned their bridges last year. Don't expect him back.

Oh Johnny how you have betraied us...I'd say there's a fat chance he's coming back, he's making way too much with the Yankees to come back here.

I think right now we should be crushed about how the fact the pitching is sucking and how we got killed by the Yankees and are on a 6 game losing skid.

I agree, learn to like the Yankees. You won't live the 84 years until the sox win the next series anyway.

I'm pretty sure that, once you go from the Red Sox to the Yankees, there's IS no going back!

Im a Mets fan and i used to always watch the Red Sox. I thought the '04 post season series when they were down 3-0 and they came back and won the series was one of the best i've seen.

i was surprised that damond left. i thought he liked it here. But him coming back i think is pretty slim. srry to tell you.

GO RED SOX!!!

Not likely... He'll be old enough to consider retirement by the time his Yankee contract expires, and there's no way they'll trade him back to the Red Sox before then...
