Describe your skin type [normal, oily, dry..sensitive] and which kind of foundation/concealer you use.

I have fairly dry skin and I'm thinking of switching cosmetics. Right now I use MAC Select SPF15 but I really want to switch to Armani LSF, it'd be such a hassle to have it delivered though. What have you experimented with and do you have any recommendations or a product you're totally against?

I have combination skin (Oily T-Zone and dry patches sometimes on my cheeks) But what I use is...

BARE ESCENTUALS! :)

It is AMAZING - it looks like your skin has no makeup. You won't break out with it on - you can even sleep with it on (not that I recommend it) Just try it - also there should be a how-to dvd in the kit. I've seen it at Ulta - those kits usually sell out. It should come with Warmth (which isn't a bronzer - but it does give you that outdoorsy look) So far the stuff is amazing, I've converted almost all the ladies that I work with to use Bare Minerals. If you don't like it - check with Ulta on their money-back policy. I highly think that you will not need to return it. It has been the best investment that I've made on this makeup - and it DOES NOT Expire! I've been using it for 2 years and I wish I had started when I was your age - because who knows what sort of effect that the chemicals in foundations and pressed cosmetics has had on my skin.

As for the color that you choose - make sure you have an Ulta personnel help you out. The colors are pretty forgiving - so if you tan easily in the summer, the color you choose will still work - just make sure to blend on your neck. Good luck and I know you will turn into a believer!

I have tried every makeup known to man just about lol I was in a wedding and they used Bare Essentuals and I loved it. I'm going to buy it this week...... It's not cakey and your skin will love it. I have Oily skin and sensitive at that so I use a product for a little bit and then I switch. I had a zit and bare essentualy covered it up and it even shrunk in size. Good luck too you, If your makeup you use now works good, you might want to think about sticking with it.... If you do switch and run into problems make sure you remember the shade you have that you liked now.... I switched along time ago and I wish I would have remembered what shade I used then. Now i have such a hard time finding the right one. Good luck!!

I have combination skin (normal and a bit oily t-zone) and fair complexion that tends to get red easily. I use Magie Matte by Lancôme, it's a soft finish matte mousse foundation that works like a charm, it's really long lasting (almost 12 hours) and the best is that it won't clug my pores and it really does look natural, the only disadvantage I find in it, it's that it doesn't have sunblock (so I have to apply sunblock and wait about 15 minutes before putting on the foundation) and yes, it can be a little expensive but in my case it's worth every penny, because I've tried millions of foundations and none worked a great as Magie Matte.

I use Bare Escentuals on my skin. It's all natural minerals with no chemicals added. It comes in a little canister and it's a powder. I have very sensitive/oily skin and used to break out a lot and since using this I rarely break out. I would recommend this for you but you would probably want to get a moisurizer to apply beforehand. All other foundation are basically nasty chemicals. Why would you want to put that stuff on your face. If you've never watched one of the infomercials for Bare Minerals then you should watch one. Leslie, the founder of the company will demonstrate the difference in her product and other foundations.

It is sold in Bare Escentuals boutiques, on QVC and in Ulta cosmetic stores. I don't think they sell it at Sephora. A starter kit will run you around $35 for the foundation and special applicator brush. They're also running a special for this great starter kit for $59.98. Go to the website I have below and check it out.

*Notice the poster before me also recommended this product. So it must work!!!

I use nothing but Cover Girl.

I have fair skin that is T-Zone oily. Cheeks are dry and forehead, nose and chin are oily. I use Cover Girl Continuous Wear makeup in Creamy Beige. It lasts all day, I just have to touch up with powder to get rid of the oiliness. Sometimes I use a facial moisturizer on my cheeks before I apply my foundation if my cheeks are dry. I have fair coloured skin but I find the fair colours to be too light, so I use creamy beige, it works the best for me. I pay around $10-$12 for my foundation as opposed to the expensive foundations that you can buy and I find my skin looks just as beautiful and glowing as anyone elses that might us a $40 foundation.

I would tell you to give cover girl a try. You might be pleasantly surprised. It is affordable and good quality.

I've tried different kinds of foundations, but now I wear none because it just clogs your pores, and bare skin has a more healthy natural glow even if it's not a totally even colour. My face can get dry but my nose is oily, and I find any kind of make up just makes it oiler, but the oil control formulas are even worse! It's important just to use a good moisturizer, that's it.

Combination- I have Dry Skin & Then an Oily TZone.
I personally luv MAC!

But I also like MaryKay Because their foundations are lighter than MAC's because MAC has been known sometimes for their foundations being to heavy.

But try Mary Kay I like it

Skin Type: Dry-Normal & Acne-Prone

Foundation: Almay Line Smoothing Compact in Ivory. It's good stuff if you want to try something cheaper. I recommend it. Best drugstore brand I've tried. Has SPF too (mainly Titanium Dioxide).

The abolute best I have ever used is Victoria Jackson, and you do have to order and have it delivered. It is incredible.
Next, Mary Kay liquid...no concealer needed with either,
Victoria Jackson comes with two tones, you just choose light medium or dark. Dark is for women of color,, medium is for olive or easily tanned skin and light is for the pale faces.
You DON'T have to spend alot to get GOOD makeup. People do it out of stupidity, really.
