I have a Tracfone and it does ask for sims card number if you have one. I don't have sims card but I bought one for daughter-in-law and it did. You would have to call Tracfone to find out.

no, I got a tracfone and cingular ...does not work....tracfone is CDMA and Cingular is GSM...tracfone doesn't have Sims cars...I need it for coverage in rural areas cingular doesn't cover...
