Actually Cuba has recently discovered offshore reserves and in 3-4 years is likely to be a small but significant exporter of Oil. Why do you think Bush is now thinking of relaxing the embargoe? He certainly doesn't want the Canadians and French assisting Cuba with their oil. His only problem is that Castro needs to die to give him an excuse to lift the embargo.

They probably do but it's within the three mile territorial limit. I heard that's the case in all the Caribbean islands. We're in Iraq because the government generally is in denial and it is a diversionary tactic. At no time has expendable come home with more force.

The true reason is that there is no profit on Cuba, thats also why the USA morphed Osama into Saddam. There was more profit, not for the government or its people but for the organizations and companies where he and his buddies have stocks or are part owners.

its not that easy pal. you just dont walk up and say hey were going to take over now. Castro's brother is said to be even more extreme than castro. Yes it would be great to spread democracy to all those who are oppressed but you just cant march in there and take over.
no kidding we are after the oil and so what if we are. why help countries who can do nothing for us in return? answer that.

I think he needs to concentrate on spreading democracy in the United States first, then worry about foreign countries.

Who says he isn't? Probably figured it would be easier to let Castro croak and waltz in behind the scenes, rather than invading.
