I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of guitars Nirvana was using on the unplugged album. I love that deep, twangy sound they had. I am going to get a new acoustic guitar and I would like one with a similiar sound.

"For acoustics, Kurt used a 12 Stella Harmony on Nevermind, for Polly and Something in the Way.
That was replaced with a Epiphone Texon, and then a late fifties Martin D-18E."

Odds are he played the Martin.

That sound you're searching for does not lies on the brand of the guitars, but on the fact that there are two guitars playing (kurt and another) and the coesion of the two.

i know he usually played a fender jaguar, but as far as the acoustic one, i'd say watch Nirvana Unpluged and see if you can determine the brand
