One small lock-step for political support, one giant leap toward fascism.

I'm going to make the assumption that you're just joking, because I can't imagine anyone (outside the Bush cabinet) being deranged enough to suggest that for real.

I suppose this is how you imagine Conservatives think, and that is really sad. You have a right to say whatever you want. We simply reserve the right to do the same. If you lie, we're going to point that out.

Conservatives are the defenders of the Constitution. It's the Liberals who are always trying to twist it's meaning to suit their own agenda. All that B.S. about the Constitution being a "living document" that spews out of activist courts is enough to make any educated person puke.

Conservatives defend the ORIGINAL MEANING of the Constitution AS AMENDED. There is after all an amendment process, and if you want to change the Constitution, that's the way. If you can't find the votes in the Senate or the state legislatures, tough sh*t.

The First Amendment also gives you the opportunity to say that Dubya is a "great leader" (however misguided you might be). Get rid of the amendment and you can't even say that much.

It works both ways, ya know.

This is sarcastic. Right? Here's my response to the last 12 postings of "sweetpea":

It's called Freedom of Speech.
You can't bully everyone into a compliant silence. The Republicans certainly didn't refrain from bashing Clinton or Carter, in the name of "not appearing to be weak."

So why do you think people shouldn't say bad things about people who say bad things about our great leaders.
