I like a PC because it gives me more freedom for basic web design and programmign and can easiel install any programs.
PC because MAC is way too expensive.
Not at all I have seen cheap computers that were amazing good.
I think it is better beause it works for me. I can do my web design and programming with 100% freedom, and no mac restrictions.
I have use macs and they are real good because they don't get so slow and are great for people that don't work too much with computers ( From what i have been exposed to)
The factor has to be both, I always look for the price and then I look to see whats its memory and that kind of stuff.

1. I prefer the Macintosh. Why? Because I've used it all my life.
2. Once again, the Macintosh. A lot of people don't realize that a Mac with the same specs as a PC is CHEAPER than the PC.
3. No I don't.
4. Macintosh will always be better.
5. The Macintosh has great tech support. Programs are awesome, the GUI is amazing, less crashes and freezes, far less viruses.
6. You need to look for quality, and the Macintosh certainly has that.
Hope this helped!

1.) I like both for different reasons: PC for the variety and Macs for the quality. Personally, having owned PCs my whole life and only worked with Macs at my work place (I was a computer lab manager at my college for three years) I would like my next computer to be a Mac, but until I get a pay raise I can't get a new computer. :-P
2.) Right now it is a tie. The PC world has seen what Macs can do and is trying to make up for all the years of crap parts, crap service and cookie cutter desktops. Macintosh, seeing this, is trying to compensate by finding new ways to be unique and (most importantly) user friendly.
3.) Yes. I never consider any computer under $700 based on past experiance: My parents bought me a Compaq for $200 at a super-mega-one-stop-shopping store when I started my junior year of college. It did not have an operating system, which I had to buy myself, and six months later during the middle of a research paper it crashed one me. I had to spend over six hundred dollars in repairs to get it running again. Now, some brands are a bit overpriced, but in general the old addage "You get what you pay for" DOES apply to computers.
4.) More programs are made to run on its operating system, thus you are not limited to one or two choices when purchasing something for work, school or leisure.
5.) It is user friendly out the wang! Yeah, it takes a while to learn if you have been raised on PCs, but once you get the hang of things it's a breeze to use.
6.) Quailty. With more colleged demanding students have their own computers, jobs that require you to take your work home with you, games with graphics boarder-lining Hollywood CGI quality, and all sorts of communication programs to keep you in touch with everyone, you need something that will last or else you'll end up spending tons of money just to keep up.

1. I personally prefer a Windows based computer
2. I would say whatever computer fits your needs and is a price you can afford.
3. No...price has nothing to do with quality
4. A Windows PC has more programs available for it.
5. Don't use a Mac
6. I try to "split the difference" and get as much quality as I can for the price I am paying.

1 neither i use windows but i have this set as dual boot and much prefer an operating system called knoppix.
2 i built this from a load of parts picked up from different places so purpose built works for me.
3 best price buy parts build yourself.
4 only used windows because i do a lot of repairs on windows machines and need to know about them.
5 never had to repair a mac yet but have played about with them and helped set up certain settings over yahoo messenger.
6 last but not least stick with amd processors they are cheaper than Intel and usually a lot faster for less money they are also very stable never had a prob with them

1. I prefer a DOS-based or VAX computer. Only the ignorant "think" there are only but two types of computer in the world.
2. A prefer a computer that works and does what I need it to do.
3. Only if you're not smart enough to compare prices and products.
4. Irrelevant question, except for the ignorant who only know of two types of computer.
5. See #4.
6. Can the computer do what I need a computer to do?

In my opinion when buying a computer quality should come first. Windows is better than Mac because it is more universal. I would say the best quality computer to get for your money would be Dell. Also when buying a computer speed and storage are a big thing to look for. experience

Windows XP Home (Mac is too expensive and low specs.).
Windows.
Yes.
Cheaper, free software (3rd party), customizable, more features/options, compatibility.
NO Mac is not good except for quality.
both, Price/quality. Price is more important because almost all technology nowadays have same/similar quality. If it works, it is good enough.
