If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112 deaths, that gives a firearms death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearms death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period. That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should also pull out of Washington.

Hahahahahaha // Very funny and true

// Lets pull out from Washington first //

Cute. And a rational argument but for one fact.

There have been between 100,000 and 200,000 deaths in Iraq during the US occupation. Let's say 10% of those were caused by US forces.

That changes your numbers dramatically. To the tune of 100x as many.

what math are you doing... shouldn't that be a rate of 1,000+ per 100,000 soldiers over that time? Which would be over 10 times that of D.C.?

can you show me the math on the 60?

your numbers don't even make sense... that's like 10,000 firearm deaths for D.C. over the same period, if you look at them relatively? THAT'S HILARIOUS!

does anyone actually look at the math on these things?

A better solution is to run the firearm industry out of the business of supplying them. Especially since there are no firearm factories in the areas so mentioned.

Those are only American deaths. right? Figure in the Iraqi deaths and the ratio will be closer to 1:1.

haha slowly but surely they are pushing people, mostly black people, out of dc...they are building new development there and so more others, mostly white, are moving into dc...sad to say but it's going to happen quick (than most people would think)....

what they need to do is fix those potholes in the street!!
