I am the primary in a family and we practice poligamy. We have a secondary wife now in our family and she's a great person but a few years younger than we are. Everything has been perfect up to this point but now she's told me that she's pregnant. My husband and I decided awhile ago that we weren't going to have any more children yet now I'll have to help raise this baby too. I know that accidents do happen but I feel as if he has set my feelings aside on this issue. I'm not sure what to do. Should I just suck it up as the price you pay for our lifestyle or should I put my foot down. I love them both very much.

That depends on you. Since this is the lifestyle that you chose to have, you have to accept the consequences of that choice.

It's a good idea to really know what you're talking about before you try to pass yourself off as something you are not.

- The term is actually "sister wife".
- For a polygamist, having more children is the whole point of taking on a new younger wife. Big families is what it's all about.
- The elder wives in a polygamist family know this and usually look forward to the new children of their younger sister wives.

Nice try. At least your post was literate.

Don't get too comfortable... wait until the third and fourth wife come along... They'll be wanting to procreate as well... Polygamy may sound like a fun thing on the surface... but taking care of those dozen or so kids is quite a job...

Do you really have a choice?? If you decided to have this lifestyle and want to stay married to your husband, than you really can't do anything about her pregnancy. If you are truly unhappy your only option is to leave the marriage as you have no control over whether she stays pregnant or not.

I am sorry. I had to laugh.. you said "My husband" o.k. Your husband and you agreed not to have any more children but her husband and her did not agree to that..
I guess you should have said to him I do not want to raise any more children. Not your body.. you have no choice.

I guess if you agreed to this type of relationship then you must face the consequences.
