Hey she can still fit in junior's sizes and shop in any store she is not that big. If she excercised alittle and cut down on some portions she might lose a few and tone up so she would look even better than she does now !

It depend on how she feels, does she feel healthy?
Are you concerned, what does her psychial apperarance look like. If anything, and she is concerned she should perhaps see a doctor. I am the same measurments, and I don't look it and no-one I knoew thinks I am at that weight, it depends on the structure of your body as well not just the number. Some people hav more muscle mass etc...but based on her clothing size I would not say that, because I personally range from a 6 - 8 juniors. so, perhaps she could use some fine tuning. Incourage her don't make her feel bad about herself. She needs a friend, that is going to be supportive and not a friend that is going to make her feel bad about herself. Maybe convince her to join a dance lass or a sport or something to introduce some phsysical exercise.

Realize that we are made differently for a purpose. God made us all different. There are many beautiful people around the world who are large. Remember that back in the 1800's the larger you were the better looking you were. Actually if you had a gap between your teeth you were seen as a women who was very good in bed. Now, I'm not making this up, but what i'm trying to say is that this culture/world is going to tell you to look a certain way. I'll tell you one pearl of life and it is this that it's not about how you look, it's about how you love. I recommend that you read this book it is very edgy and i know that it will creat a hunger in you to want to know more about what i have talked about. The book is "Redeeming Love"
God bless you

overweight in the sense of a perfect world and healthwise? Yes, probably so.
overweight in the sick obese sense? No, not necessarily. If she has a larger frame she could still have a beautiful body and weigh 148.
She could probably lose a little weight, but WHO COULDN'T. Don't let her get down on herself!!! She doesn't have to be a supermodel to be a beautiful person.

Your friend is overweight. I am 5"9' and weigh 135. But, there are many things to consider. Bone mass, bone size, and what her other family looks like. Your friend should check what her body mass index is.
