Seinfeld was awful, the rest are ok. Friends and Unhappily ever after, or Married with children were hilarious. Anyway the problem of sitcoms is that they run for a long time and sometimes start very good and end up very boring.

depends how you are measuring it. in terms of quality of writing, the mary tyler moore show is usually the top. in terms of ratings, MASH had the highest rated series end in history. in terms of regular season ratings, i *think* seinfeld is top. in terms of spinoffs, i believe all in the family or happy days produced the most. friends had the highest per-episode production cost (mostly as salary to the 5 stars.) in terms of length of broadcast, the simpsons currently holds the record with like 17 years and counting.

only fools and horses,dads army,steptoe and son, fawlty towers,open all hours,allo allo, i could go on for a week,the british shows are far superior from an australian view,these are proper comedy shows,far superior to any american wanabe's,,sienfeld is about closest to a reasonably funny show,
