I think that the main two reasons are overpopulation/crowding, and improved communication. The doubling of the number of people on earth in my lifetime has caused the quality of life to go WAY downhill. And the disparity between rich and poor is glaringly obvious when anyone anywhere on earth can see it on TV. That leads to resentment and hatred. Crowding leads to egotism. It is a bad situation in which people become fanatical to get what they want with no concern for others.

I heard a person explain one time, that by taking away the forests, with all the confusion of the undergrowth, and tangle of vines, and so on, we have put that confusion into our minds. To experience peace we can take ourselves out of the confusion in many ways.
There is yoga, meditation, and many spiritual rout's one can take to have peace within. However as a people there is, for now, way too much fear, ignorance, stupidity, television, gossip, wrong ethics, guilt, and doubt, (not to mention some really BAD music, movies, and porn) to be able to have a lasting effect on the whole. Therefore, it is important that each of us seek out the peace we yearn as best we can.
Even for one person to find peace requires a great determination. We must remove ourselves from the huh-bub of everyday life, and join with people with a like goal. As Gandhi said, "We must become the change we want to see in the world." This is the only way.
One way to begin is to realize that peace comes in knowing we are doing the best we can with what God has given us to work with. We can only accomplish this one person at a time.

it's to play the market, someone is making hugh gains somewhere.
and not to mention the (American) government can rationalize taking away even more of our freedoms (think of the Patriot Act)
think about it, what purpose does our color alert system have but to bring us to fear?
It's not neccessarily the end of the world, people have been saying that for years and years ever since 1844 if i remember right. im sure we have a good 50 years left in this world, lol

Hmm..mad, is that the right word, angry, frustrated, over-it, I guess when you look around and see all the **** going on around the world, you could say "mad". Its the frustration of not being able to do anything about the crap being blatantly peddled before us by our arrogant governments who don't seem to have any accountability whatsoever. The fact that they treat us like ignorant misbehaving children while they cut up our cake and eat it , then expect us to be grateful is fast becoming very tiresome. but what to do????

Much easier to sneak through legislation you don't want people to know about / question if the media is, err, distracted / bent over a desk & waiting for the next paddeling from x county's leader? (sorry anyone into paddeling)
Oh plus reporting of what does (do you think world war one would have been so supported it was known that 'General Haig unveils his new strategy to move his drinks cabinet six inches closer to Berlin', with current reporting?)
'They'd never do that' - holocaust anyone?

Has the world gone mad?...I thought it was just ME! Maybe its got smaller - we now have access to world-wide news around the clock, making us more knowledgeable to events, alert and aware......?
