I got a 2 immuniztations yesterday,and for the 1st time they didnt hurt.Is it true that it all depends on who gives the shot??I used to be afraid of needels,but now ill gladly get a shot.

Also,in the past people who used to give me shots,would put the needle right up against the skin,and then press.THAT ***** HURTS!SERIOUSLY!

yes it depends on who does the shot! Some nurses or docs can do it and you dotn feel any pain, others can do it and it does like u said hurt like hell... I was in school and we practiced shots..luv it! I did this one girl with one shot she said I was awesome and she didnt feel a thing! when the other girl did it she said it hurt like heck!!!
lol..so yeah just depends on the person!

Technique definitely plays a role in how much (or little) an injection hurts. It also depends on what is being injected. Some injection substances sting, and others don't. Having given hundreds of injections in my life I can say that putting the needle on the skin and then "pushing" it in does hurt more than holding the needle a fraction of an inch off the skin and quickly jabbing it in. The injection is over before the mind registers that it hurt.

It probably does depend on who is giving you the shot but I don't think you usually will get to pick the person who gives you the shot.

You've probably just matured.
I used to be deathly afraid of needle too. Than a few years ago I had to get a Tetanus (sp?) shot because of being cut on the job, and it didn't hurt at all... neither was I afraid.

I don't know for sure if it's true or not. All I know is that some people when they give shots it hurts...and when others give the shots there's no pain.

use to afraid of needles two got tattoo now not scareed had to give myself shots for liver for a year got over the fear great so ask to stick yourself so you know when it is coming

I think it depends who gives it to you...my last shot was completely painless and I'm also afraid of getting vaccinations, so my nurse did it so fast I was like "that's it". i was shocked.
