One, relaxation and meditation.
Two, physical exercise and exertion.

Release it by realizing that in many cases the situations that stress you out aren't worth your energy. As that other answerer said, don't stress over what you can't control.
Walking, deep breathing, just telling yourself to calm down. Think about something positive and relaxing: visualize yourself someplace quiet and peaceful.
Cut down on your caffeine intake, too.

I used to get stressed out for every little thing too until I really just thought about it. Why get stressed out? I mean really? Especially worrying for something that you have no control over. Just the simple thought of not stressing helped me out.

Me too. A couple of things I do works... 1. Stop and breathe. Oxygen to the brain is one of the ways to combat the blow up, and allows you to reflect for a second before you allow the stress in. 2. Pick a spot, anywhere, that you can visualize "dropping" off your problems at, and you can come pick them back up when you've calmed down. For me, this was a place on the way home from work, where everyday, I tried to visually drop off the problems so I wouldn't bring them home. I could pick them back up in the morning in the same spot.
One thing that has helped me recently, is to watch Primetime Medical Mysteries. It has helped me realize that my problems are miniscule compared to others, and I need to appreciate my life. Hope this helps!

I get stressed all the time. If your a student, dont get up really early, and if you have to, get some good sleep. Never push yourself into anything harder than you level, or never push yourself into drugs or smoking. Another thing is try drinking water more often and relaxing. Eat healty and be active. Trust me you'll feel alot better
Good luck!

Chi Gong. I like Chi Lel Chi Gong. Also, Taoist meditations but you need about 10 years of prep work b4 you can do those so stick to the Chi Gong for now. You have to stick with the Chi Lel regularly for about 2 years to get real results for stress management, not an overnight cure, but then the diff is huge.

1st think about what it is you are stressing over, 2nd is it really that serious to let it ruin your day & the one's you love...? just RELAX sweetie and put your thoughts on something or someone that is meaningful. my kids sometimes stress me out but also calm me down cause i'm no good to my kids if i'm in the hospital for a nervous break down over nothing.

Curling up on the couch in front of my fake but real looking fireplace (LOL), light a few candles with a glass of wine and watching a good romantic comedy or just talking to my hubby about our day.

Personally, I come here and start bashing people's opinions on religion, Bush, etc, etc. If that's not enough, I'd go for a drive and just realize how stupid people are and let them know it. Yeah....I need anger management classes, I know...
