There are laws against it in several states, and Virginia is gearing up to pass another one.
It's also legal, in many states, for an employer to fire a gay person just for being gay. I have a feeling you didn't know that. You could look it up.

Yes. It does depend on the state, and the couple has to go through all of the pre-adoption assesments and stuff; but there are tons of gay couples who adopt children.

It depends on the state.
A few states have imposed laws prohibiting gays (single or couples) from adopting. Some of those have been struck down as unconstitutional. The Supreme Court has not ruled on the issue yet.

Totally legal here in Canada .. although I gather many states in the US do not allow..
really the laws regarding raising children should have NOTHING to do with sexual orientation, rather the fitness of the parent because there are a LOT of unfit parents(both homosexual and heterosexual) out there..

Legal where? Although I dont think you mean legal in a technical way. They are allowed in many european countries and many states also. Live with it.
And stop feeding your cats and spoilt dogs that much, and send some money to the poor instead of preaching and judging other religions you fat potato.

Absolutely. Most of them do a far better job than straight people who pop them out like there's no tomorow just because they can. All the gay parents I know are model parents. I wish I could be more like them.

In my state, we both had to be approved but only one of us could be the adoptive parent. We got our daughter very quick...within 1 week of approval.

Yes but they are generally not seen as "fit" parents because of their sexuality.. making it hard to see them as candidates for adoption.
