I am Mexican, so I am interested in the American (foreigners') perspective. Personally I think it's Playacar (near to Playa del Carmen, in the southern tip of the country)

Manzanillo

La playa de audiencia

o
La Bocita de santiago

I prefer la bocita the sand was a little more firm to walk on to enter the water and the waves were not bad at all.

I only them as the Lost Beaches east of Cabo de San Jose in Baja. At least they were considered "Lost" 4 years ago. I know don't know if development has claimed them.

One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever had the priviledge of visiting- better than north shore of Oahu, any beach on Maui and even Phuket.

A true diamond- pristine and untouched by humans as that's how I define the " best" beach.
