I'm an exiled Geordie. If you have any sense at all, stay in Newcastle. I lived in the London area for twenty years - it was a heap of clarts when I arrived and is an even bigger heap of clarts now.

Yes, but you need good boots and a place to sleep along the way. You should make 3 MPH - walk 10 hours a day for 14 daya that's 420 miles. No problem. You'll just be knackered when you get there. If you come across a transport cafe on the way stop for a cheap meal and maybe a truck driver will give you a lift!

If you walked 20 miles per day you would cover 280 miles in 14 days.
I guess Newcastle is over 400 miles from London so you'd have to do (say) 30 miles per day.

If you walk at the average speed of 3 mph that means walking for 10 hours per day and no rest days.

My guess is that you wouldn't do it but its possible.

you won't be able to easily pitch up a tent alongside the roadside in the united kingdom. you'd be moved on through police in case you attempt this. you want to have permission from the land proprietor previously you may make a camp and that i tips that you intend your direction round known campsites. Pitches heavily isn't extreme priced and also have get admission to to showers and lavatories. I doubt a trowel will be accessible for bathing room needs except you're planning on digging a latrine. it would want to easily take you 10 days to do this journey assuming 10 hours walking an afternoon at a common p.c... you'll likely want to get the bus decrease back!

Yeah, you should be able to do it

Newcastle is about 300 miles from London so you'd have to walk about 22 miles a day but it would be easy enough.

Pack well for the trip though - tent, food, good sleeping bag and you'll have your walk done in no time

Good luck and enjoy the beauties of England ;-D

yes it's only about 300 miles away.but it only costs about 20 quid on the bus so i'd invest my time in working for the fare and save the leg work.you'd probably end up having to buy new shoes anyway so it may even save you money in the long run.

you wouldn't by any chance be going on a jarrow crusade would you.if so i'd stick to the dole mate cos 'wor tony' wouldn't be in cos he's on holiday.
