Is there any advice you would have in regards to attitude, presentation, approach, etc. for a job interview in which the position has been narrowed down to myself and another candidate? This is the second time this has happened to me, and I really don't like it, but I have to deal with it. Like to hear from others on how they prepared their mind-set for this situation

It's all about how you present yourself. Stay confident and focused. I had this happen to me, nearly 3 years ago. My final interview was with the owner of the company. I didn't promise him much more than what he was already told. As it was, he was already prepared. I got the job. He said later, the main reason was that I was very flexible. Now, I'm one step below a VP slot.

Go in with ideas of what you would do to if you receive the position. How you would better the company, why you are best for the job. I just got a job yesterday and the receptionist told me I stood out from everyone else, I don't know how or why but it was a good thing. Dress your best, make sure you look your very best. Someone always tells me in order to sell yourself to someone you have to know that you are the best there possibly is. Good Luck!!

At the end of the interview, ask for the job.
"when do i start?"
be prepared to ask them questions, and have a list ready!
Throw words around like, company mission statement.
Good luck!

On the internet (Monster has them for sure), find a list of behavioral questions that may be asked of you (if they have not already.

Not only does it help to have your answers pre-thought, I found that they gave me a sense of accomplishment when I sat down and took inventory of my skills and achievements.

Good luck.
