Actually, YES, you can see a human oocyte (egg cell) with the naked eye. It is one of the largest single cells of the body (the largest ones would be extremely long neurons, but I digress!)

Heard the answerer to this in Biology 101. No Think the example was given that you could fit the human egg every person started from on Earth into shoebox, and number could rest on top of safety pin. Forget number told.

I learned in middle school sex ed that the human ovum is about the size of a grain of sand. So, i guess, yeah.
