We live in a 'christian' oriented country, and in a mostly 'christian' oriented society, culturally. Even though that is slowly changing, what with the influx of more and more non-christian religions. HOWVER, back to the point....Being a christanity based country, here in the United States, we are taught in our 'christianity' based churches that Jesus Christ is the come all, be all and end all of religion and the Jewish faith does not accept him as the Savior for mankind that God sent.
Dispite the many prophecies that Jesus fulfilled, the many miracles that he performed and the truths that preached and the life and yes, death that he endured and his resurrection, the Jewish leaders of that time refused to believe that he was, indeed, the son of God. For this reasoning, over the years, many of the followers of Christ have turned to hating them. Despite Jesus's admonishions not to hate and to actually love your neighbor and to love your enemies, many still insist on hating.
That is one of the reasons. And yet another is like another poster has said, the Jewish communitty has proven to be very good in their business practices and many are very wealthy, thus prompting Jealousy and hate from their neighbors.
Its a sad thing.... Why should you HATE someone for their spiritual blindness in not accepting the man that was sent to save them from their sins and give them the promise of everlasting life in a paradise earth, just as God had originally intended it? It was written that not all would accept this truth and would turn him away -- it was part of the prophecy. This is what made the Jewish people no longer Jehovah God's chosen people. Instead, it is now those that put faith in Jesus Christ's sacrfice and his kingdom that has been set up that are God's Chosen people. The ones that Choose God are the ones that he has as his choosen. ( John 3:16) But this scripture also states that its for those who "exercize" faith, not just let it set there in their Bible's on a dusty shelf, that this sacrifice is for. And it is in Matthew 11:111 Now when Jesus had finished giving instructions to his twelve disciples, he set out from there to teach and preach in their cities.
Since all who become followers of Jesus are then in turn to become preachers of the word as well, they need to take in an accurate knowledge of the Bible as well. Feel free to contact me if you have any other Bible based questions you would like to ask.

A lot of the hatred of any peoples is passed down from generation to generation.
Some of it, like the Jews and the Holocaust, was also carefully orchestrated by the Nazi regime for political gain.
Some of it is due to jealosy over the success of one set of peoples over another. Again, this is used as a political weapon.
Some of it is over power . Why not blame a minority or another race for your troubles? Then you can show your power by destroying them.
Some of it is stated as religious but it is really over power.
Some of it is plain ignorance.
Finally, some of it is earned.

People are taught to hate. Some are taught by their parents or families. Others are taught by their house of worship. Hating by definition is abhorrent, whether it is based on race, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, or any other innate characteristic, none of which are "choices."
Wouldn't this world be a great place if all people truly followed the teachings of their belief system, and worked toward justice, peace and tolerance?

It is because the Jewish people are smarter than the Arabs. The Arabs are jealous. Also democratic societies have rarely survived in the Mid-East. I have some Jewish friends, they act like everyday people, not like some Jihadist that can't get a clue on life.

I am disturbed about that, too. I hate ALL discrimination. They are said to have a more financial mind than others. So what? Earning money is a bad thing now? Unless they are stealing it, which is a GROSS stereotyping for millions of people.

The Jews were hated (and they're not still, at least not by the majority) for the same reason that any ethnic group is hated--they had (and probably still do) something somebody else wanted.

Who hates them?
I don't.
I don't know anyone who does...
Are you referring to Hitler's concentration camps? That's a little different than someone today hating them...
