I read it and I'm still broke. I read it about 4 years ago. He is like Norman Vincent Peale, if you think positively things will prosper for you. That's true to a degree but there is also a lot of luck involved in that too. If you have rich parents or well off parents your chances of having lots of money are much higher to one who was born in the ghetto. You always have a chance to change things for yourself but becoming a millionaire is extremely difficult to do for most of us. His point in that book was basically if you want something bad enough and focus, you will get what you want.

I read that book and bought a used copy of it. It has been a while since I read it; I was hopeful it might help me become rich, it didn't. From what I can recall it kept telling me that if I looked carefully in the book I'd find the secrets. I didn't see the "secret" and I finally decided that the guy got rich selling the book! I have been more inspired by other books rather than that one. It could be that the point is to think rich thoughts and riches will come your way. Like attracts like.

I think most people misunderstand the word "rich" - it isn't necessarily the monetary sense of the word- at least not initially. It can mean desirable elements or qualities, and represents a philosophy of personal achievement. You don't just read the book and expect to be wealthy, it's a mind set that takes faith, planning, persistence, and training your mind. Becoming "rich" still takes hard work, and the book explains the proper thought patterns to achieve that goal.
