Does anyone know if it is possible to put a song on your phone that you have on your computer? Is it possible to transfer ringers like this?

It depends on who your carrier is. I used to have sprint and there were websites out there that did share these kinds of things and you could download them to your phone because Sprint is a web-based phone service. Just like all the text messages and pictures are stored online, not just on your phone.
However, other carriers like Verizon are in complete control of this stuff and can only be downloaded from their sites.
