First of all, how old is your brother?
I think tattoo's of other people's names are quite ridiculous unless they have already passed away..even then I still find it stupid.
If anything why doesn't he get something deeper, more meaningful. Something that reminds him of you..

if you have been in the service a tattoo of the branch you were in is fine.all other tattoos, especially the ugly ones, are STUPID. have you ever seen an older person that has started to wrinkle and they have tattoos? i have. the only thing i can say is UGLY, UGLY, UGLY !!!!!

Why wouldn't your BROTHER remember you? Either way sounds neat- it's sweet that he's considering getting his sister's name. He should really be the one to decide though.
