Farts occur when gas is released from the intestine. The gas comes from either air being ingested while eating or (more often) when bacteria in your digestive tract release gas upon decomposing any undigested food. Since chickens have bacteria in their intestines, then I would conclude that chickens fart.

Either that or they explode upon reaching some critical pressure.

anything that undergoes gastorintestinal digestion will produce methane CO2 and hydrogen sulfide which results in the untimely burp of the anus..

and yes this includes chickens

Well, they don't pee so I guess they don't fart. They do poop, though. Number one ingredient in most fertilizers as a matter of fact.

well ya & they stink more when you cut thier heads off, pull their feathers out , pull their guts out, it not untill they put their parts into plastic wraped trays they stop stinking
