Frog legs are a tasty food, that properly prepared taste like and have the texture of chicken. People from all walks of life and all races eat frog legs. They are from frogs that live near bodies of water, not the yard or garden variety frog you most often see. Usually served where you also are served fish/seafood and in your better restaurants.

It is simply meat, no different from beef (hamburger) pork (bacon) of turkey or chicken (fowl) except in texture and fat.

I've tried them, and they were pretty good... but my feeling is that there's alot of life lost for a couple of nibbles from a frog's legs. Yes, they really DO taste like chicken!

But, it seems so wasteful!

I've never been frog-gigging, although I've been invited. (Sometimes it's so hard to be polite!)

I guess it's a "been there, done that" situation that I don't care to repeat.

I tried them once, at a Chinese buffet. That probably wasn't the best place to eat them, but they were OK. They looked a lot like chicken legs and had the same texture as chicken meat, but the meat tasted like fish. It wasn't horrible but it was weird - I have no interest in trying them again.

I love frog legs! The best way to eat it is grilled on the BBQ, marinated in lemon and different spices. I also like it deep fried.
