I've never heard anyone say that they think Bush is a good president, so why did he get re-elected? And why doesn't anyone vote for a third party? We need to get rid of "career politicians". I say vote them all out and get new ones in!

It sounds like a lot of people voted for him because they didn't like Kerry. It's really sad when you have to settle on the "lesser of two evils" for the president of your country. And if enough people voted third party, they wouldn't split the vote. We need to make the gov. realize that the two party system isn't gonna cut it.

I agree with part of your comments, but not all.
I'm no fan of President Bush...however, I do respect the office of President and you just know it can't be an easy job (especially if you are not too smart a person, wink-wink).

As for his re-election, the popular vote was so close.
We are a nation divided and Bush missed his chance to join us together.
Hope the next president has the intelligence to learn from that.

Regarding a third party: LONG overdue.
I'm ready to sign on and support one.

I vote third party all the time. I am an old political science/ international relations graduate. I encourage others to vote third party also. But there are extreme obstacles in the way for third party candidates. They are unable to get on the ballot in every state and are completely shut out of debates on the presidential/ executive level. Unfortunately, the system is set up for a two-party system. I did not vote democrat in the previous two elections but I will say this. I have done ALOT of research into election fraud (especially here in Florida) and do believe that democrats won the past two presidential elections. There are non-partisan folks here in Florida that have publicly stated that the Diebold electronic voting machines were fixed in favor of Bush in the counties that used these machines. Tests were done on these machines after the election and Bush ended up winning a few counties that he should not have. Some of these machines were registering dozens of votes for Bush just on ONE vote. Diebold is heavily connected with the Republican party. Especially here in Florida. If you give Kerry the two states that were stolen from him (Ohio and Florida) he may have very well won the presidential election. Not that I am for democrats and republicans. Watch for more voter fraud as these electronic machines are more widely instituted across the country. They are making ALL the difference. And very few folks are questioning them.

Part of the reason why Bush's approval ratings are so low is of course his (and the rest of the federal government's) response to Hurricane Katrina along with other issues such as the Israel/Hezbollah conflict and the foiled terror plot in Britain.

He was re-elected because none of that happened before the elections took place although he did do the "Mission Accomplished" thing before the elections. Now it's just gotten worse. But there are other factors in this but yes career politicians are getting rather annoying lately.

I believe that Bush is pushing the agenda and people do not understand. Overall he has done an excellent job. Your idea of getting rid of career politicians is right on. Some say that if new politicians are elected continuously it will weaken our power. A few senior people understand precisely what they are doing and if these folks are eliminated from office America stands to lose BILLIONS they they have invested in other countries trying to democratize or take control of the natural resources. Think about it.... Our government only sales what WE buy....

Obviously not everyone hates Bush... more than half the voting public re-elected him. We do, however, have a golden opportunity this November to vote in a Democratic led congress, which would render the Bush administration politically impotent. Then we could start seeing congressional investigations, impeachment hearings and all of the things the Republicans did to make Bill Clinton ineffective in his last years in office.

Well, he is leaps and bounds better than John Kerry would have been. He may make some weird comments and get made fun of a lot, and make controversial decisions, but over all, he is a good guy. People would be complaining just as much if someone else was president. What we need is another Ronald Reagin. Most people liked him.

Third party presidential candidates:

2000- Pat Buchanan- the people in FL who got confused (among others) actually voted for this guy instead of Gore.

2004- Ralph Nader- actually got some votes, but not a lot.

I think George Bush is a good President, and 62,040,605 people agreed with me on November 2nd, 2004.

59,028,109 voted for John Kerry, meaning Bush won the popular vote by just over 3 million votes.

I voted for him twice. Career politicians do need to be gotten rid of however, be careful of what you wish for....Bush and Cheney both worked in the private sector which is more than could be said of Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Ted *gulp* Kennedy", etc. It's simple, more people liked their ideas than that of the dems. The dems can't accept that and are playing the blame game. As far as any lib/socialist talking of scare tactics, the lib/socialists have mastered it as far as minorities, the elderly, women, etc....lol

I have said many times that George Walker Bush is a good President. He cares about my financial status by giving me tax breaks. (Now don't go paroting the Democraps talking points that only the rich get tax breaks) (lower income people pay no tax, they get it all back in the form of their return, with earned income credits and the lot, so before anyone goes there educate yourself before speaking) The economy is as good or better than what Reagan and George Sr. left for Clinton, that he by the way destoyed in less than 6 years of his Presidency. (And before anyone tries to refute that one again I urge all to look it up and research it. The Republican run congress and 12 years of republican held Presidency before Clinton set up the booming economy that Slick Willy inherited, he did nothing but spend, and 6 years in the market fell out and we started a recession.) Yes George took us to war, so have plenty of other Presidents, mostly Democrats. He is a good Christain man as well, a man with a great heart and sole for his Country and his family and we Military love him to pieces. We serve and protect the Constitution so Liberal Door Knobs like your unimformed self can talk smack about this country and it's leaders and do so without reprisal. God Bless America, God Bless our President, God Bless the Uniformed and God Bless the Un-Informed.
