If your fall was caused by the negligence of the owners of the building, consult with a lawyer. If it was caused by your own clumsiness, deal with it. It was your fault, not theirs.

It depends on WHY or HOW you fell. If it is due to poor maintenance of the building, and you can prove it, and back it up with trouble calls that never got answered, you just might have a case :)

If you fell through landlord or other tenant neglect, then you have a legitimate basis for some sort of legal action. If you were doing something you should not have been according to your lease, or just did something stupid, then pay your hospital bill and zip your lips.

What should you do about what? Having someone take care of you while you recover? Finding out if the apartment complex owners are liable for negligence? Getting finacial help for lost work?.........You didn't specify.

I'D KEEP IT ON THE LOW DOWN. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND NOT GET A LAWYER. HE'LL TAKE YOUR CASE EVEN IF YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE. AND STILL YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH A NICE ATTORNEY FEE. LAWYERS, NOTHING GOOD COMES FROM THEM.
