Hi, my friend also has a 6630 Vodaphone from Japan. Until now, the service centers are not yet capable of unlocking them. I think there is still no way.

The 6630 is ok. the features are good. But now of course, there are already a lot of phones better than the 6630.

i think of your answer is it somewhat is achieveable to unencumber it right here in the philippines. nicely i assume confident.. i attempted it with a vodaphone locked in london. so consistent with danger it may unencumber one that got here from japan. in case you will manila. attempt the shops there. as for me i went to divisoria.. the stalls there have been people who unlocked the telephone for me...their expenditures differs yet be careful a number of them are opportunists.. take a walk around first previously surrendering your telephone for unlocking so which you ought to get a good deal.

I love the Philippines.

I would get the owners manual from their website or a salesman and find out from them. I would also contact the service provider.
