i heard that price gouging has benefits, when you pay more, you get more, what do you think?

Price gouging means that they are charging an inflated price for something. You certainly don't get more as a result.. you essentially just get taken by the retailer. In many locations the concept of price gouging is illegal because it is unfair to the consumer and it excessively lines the pockets of retailers.

No, it is not ok, but a lot of people think gouging takes place a lot more than it does. Anytime a price rises quickly it's not necessarily gouging. Markets can react quickly and impact prices overnight just the same as some store owner can jack prices without an increase in his costs to "gouge"

I guess it depends on your outlook. I'm sure if you believe burglary, rape, murder, lying, cheating, stealing, and embezzlement are okay, than price-gouging is probably one of the lesser of all evils. -RKO-
