Grants and Down Payment Assistant Programs vary from state to state and city to city. Call a local Lender that specializes in these type of programs.

Here in Las Vegas, one of the Countrywide offices is well versed in these programs while others are not.

Call your local Countrywide and ask them what is available in your City. If that office doesn't know, call another one.

Once you find the programs, then you can see if they are of benefit to you. Some will require you to live in a certain area and some will require paying the money back if you sell. Your Loan Officer will tell you of the details and restrictions on each one.

Good Luck,

Greg S.

Tlak to your Realator. They are supposed to be up on all the options in an area. You can also check with your local housing department or you lender if you are already working with one. Many communities offer a down payment assisatance or similar programs for low-income or first time buyers.

talk to a real estate agent, mine recommended a grant, but I made too much money, If I hadn't, I would have gladly taken $ 5,000-$10,000 of free money, I have contributed enough. Check out your local gov. too, Depends on where you are. There is all kinds of free money out there! Good luck!
