A rollback is a flatbed tow truck, where a car can be transported on the truck with all the wheels of the towed vehicle off the ground. The bed "rolls back" and the car can be winched or driven onto the bed.

It's the tow truck style to request when your car has to be transported. The platform bed literally "rolls back" to create a ramp in front of your car to pull it up on to. When traveling down the highway, your car sits safely up on top of the truck bed. Tow trucks that hoist only the front or back of your car and leave two of the wheels on the road can potentially damage your transmission or cause other damage.
